SECTION ONE – PERSONAL INFORMATION
-
Competitors must
place in a minimum of six (6) AMAA sanctioned events to qualify
for awards.

Competitors must
compete in the appropriate rank and age division at all times.

If a competitor is
promoted in rank or has a birthday, they
must move
to the corresponding division.

When moving to a
new division, 75% of points from the prior division may be moved
up. To move points, a written request must be submitted to the
AMAA prior to August 1st. Points will not be moved after this
date.

Competitors not
complying to these rules will be removed from the AMAA Sport
Karate League immediately.

The AMAA Sport
Karate League Membership will be revoked if any member or parent
of any member is not conducting themselves in a manner
reflective of the AMAA Mission Statement.

These rules will
be adhered to with NO EXCEPTIONS!
SECTION THREE - ABOUT THE AMAA
In the past quarter
century, the organization has grown to include all forms of martial
arts and nurtures competitions across the southeast. It has helped
to universalize martial arts in the south by offering standards for
rank promotion and testing procedures as well as instructor
certification services ensuring the highest quality of teachers.
The AMAA offers
consultation services to help instructors with the business of
running a dojo and hosting successful tournaments. It also supports
the formation of a successful curriculum of any form of martial arts
study. The American Martial Arts Alliance, LLC Sport Karate League
sanctions many tournaments each year and maintains statistics of its
member’s tournament performances. At its annual tournament the AMAA
Nationals and AMAA Hall of Fame awards banquet each year, the AMAA
honors great competitors, students, and instructors by inducting
them into the AMAA Hall of Fame.
The AMAA Sport Karate
League is not affiliated in any way with the promoter or the event,
the rules of the event, or any decisions made by the promoter. We
offer our services to maintain statistics of its member’s
tournament performances.
The AMAA is a point gathering service
only ! Points
are recorded based on the information provided by the promoter.
With its mission to
spread the ethics and integrity of the martial arts throughout the
world of sport karate, the AMAA has succeeded in creating a
tournament atmosphere that enables members to learn, compete, and
have fun while developing themselves into better martial artists.
SECTION FOUR - MISSION STATEMENT
The primary focus of
the American Martial Arts Alliance, LLC is to develop discipline,
respect, honor, accountability, and leadership through the
philosophy of martial arts and to provide services and guidance to
foster technical excellence and maintain the highest standards in
the martial arts community.
Students are
encouraged to participate and compete whenever possible to interact
and exchange skills with other martial artists. The American Martial
Arts Alliance, LLC will uphold the integrity, ethics, and spirit of
fairness within sport karate, honor and support the unsung heroes of
martial arts, and pave the way for future champions.
SECTION FIVE - WAIVER
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
In consideration of being allowed
to participate in any way in the
American Martial Arts
Association Hall of Fame & Sport Karate League, LLC
, and related
events and activities, the
undersigned:
Agree that the parent(s) or legal
guardian(s) will instruct the minor participant that prior to
participating, he or she should inspect the facilities
and equipment to be used,
and if the participant believes anything is unsafe, he or she will
immediately advise his or her coach or supervisor
of such condition(s) and
refuse to participate.
Acknowledge and fully understand
that each participant will be engaging in activities that involve
risk of serious injury, including permanent
disability and death, and
severe social and economic losses which might result not only from
their own actions, inactions or negligence but the
actions, inactions or
negligence of others, the rules of play, or the condition of the
premises or of any equipment used. Further, that there may
be other risks not known to
us or not reasonably foreseeable at this time.
Assume all the foregoing risks and
accept personal responsibility for the damages following such
injury, permanent disability or death.
Release, waive, discharge
and covenant not to sue the
American Martial Arts
Alliance, LLC, its officers,
its affiliated clubs, regional sports
organizations, their
respective administrators, directors, agents, coaches, and other
employees of the organization, other participants,
sponsoring agencies,
sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessees of
premises used to conduct the event, all of which are
hereinafter referred to as
‘releasees’ from any and all liability to each of the undersigned,
his or her heirs and next of kin for any and all claims,
demands, losses or damages
on account of injury including death or damage to property, caused
or alleged to be caused in whole or in part
by the negligence of the
release or otherwise.
